Majo Priadka, ultrarunner
The Slovak ultra running icon first started camp with coach Michal Salva. Unfortunatelly his training and new job abroad is not allowing him to stay with us during the entire running camp. If he will be in Slovakia, he might join us for run or evening chat.
During our common runs and evenings, he will tell us about his trainings, regime, preparation for races, and about all stories and adventures from his rich running life
Michal Salva a Matej “Šibi” Schieber, coaches
Ultra marathon races are hard, and the training preparation is even harder. Therefore, trainings can have many forms, and too many kilometres are not always a key to your success. What every race is and always will be about is to get to the finish line as quickly as possible. The coaches Michal and Matej will introduce to you basics of the ultra-marathon training and the methods how to build endurance, speed, and the strongest weapon – strong mind. An important part of the training preparation and irreplaceable part of the training process is regeneration.
Based on their practical experience, Michal and Matej will advise you regarding the equipment such as clothes, running backpacks, running shoes, when to put something on and when to put it off, and how to get well-oriented in various products.
Morning Yoga with Evka
Irreplaceable parts of running are regeneration, stretching, and proper breathing. Yoga is a life art and science bringing harmony towards all layers of our being – physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual. Yoga movements affect deep structures relieving muscles, tendons, facias, insertions, and bones.
In fact, running consists of a very stereotypical movement forward and the trunk rotation when using our arms. Yoga can help us relax our postural muscles and we can thus prevent injuries caused by overload and long-term fatigue. Regular yoga exercises are more than just relaxing and stretching. Yoga positions are significantly strengthening our body core the functionality of which affects dynamics when we take off for running and stability when our feet hit the ground. Yoga is also strengthening auxiliary muscles which are often ignored. We will strengthen our bodies and minds by means of asanas and breathing.
Mgr. Martin Čupka, PhD., nutrition specialist
His presentation about healthy diet will explain us how to eat healthy and thus to improve our performance and health and to achieve faster regeneration. An individual diet during a training or a race and correct calorie refuelling are alpha and omega of a solid performance. We will talk about the food to be consumed both before and after the training and race to achieve fast regeneration
Liptov Sport Institute - Šimon Klimčík, fitness trainer
Šimon is one of the most recognized fitness trainers in Slovakia. He is coaching the skier Petra Vlhová, the Olympic medal winner Jakub Grigar, and hockey talents such as Šimon Nemec, among others. In his Sport Institute, we will join together to work particular muscles important for running and ultra running. A short discussion will open a room for talking about exercises and the right time and method of their inclusion in the training process.

Our sport partners provided test products for all participants in the camp; we would like to present them to you and you can test them right in the field.

Salomon
One of the prominent manufacturers of ultra-trail equipment will bring us running shoes for testing. We will talk more closely about professional athlete cooperation with brands, and we will give you a floor to discuss in detail particular types of clothes and accessories used by Majo during his races and trainings. During the entire camp, the sansport store will provide for complete testing of various running shoes made by Salomon.
Dynafit
Along with Alpine skiing, the Dynafit brand is also focused on the trail clothes, shoes, and accessories. You can test some of their products during the entire camp. Matej “Šibi” Schieber, their ambassador and coach, will talk in detail about the company and their products. Their project DYNAFIT TRAIL HERO is also interesting, and you’ll be told more about it within our common discussion.
Petzl
Vertone – Petzl, a vendor of headlamps and other products, will come in person to tell us something about headlamps and will bring a few of them to be tested during our night run on Thursday. The light is very important during a long night of running and its comfortable fixing on your head at a hard mountain run after 10 hours of wearing must be almost perfect.

Julbo
The company was founded by Jules Beaud born in Morez, France, in the Jura Mountains. It is the heart of the French eyewear industry. He started his business with the only specialization: innovation in the field of optical glasses. At the beginning of the 20th century, while responding to the needs of the crystal hunters in Chamonix who were looking for their eye protection in the mountains, Beaud developed the first sunglasses “Cristalliers” and Julbo have thus started their journey in the field of optical sun protection.
They are famous especially for their Reactiv lens getting dark and bright upon the intensity of UV radiation. Majo, who is a member of the Julbo Team, can also tell you something about his experience with them. At the same time, you can test the glasses right in the field with a short first-hand presentation about them by Julbo Slovensko, an importer of the Martina glasses.
